Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
